Kathmandu/Islamabad, 10 June: Nepal’s accredited Ambassador to Pakistan, Tapas Adhikari, paid a courtesy call on Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mhd. Qureshi Wednesday in Islamabad, say Pakistani media sources.
While receiving the Nepali envoy, Tapas Adhikari, at the foreign office, FM Qureshi is learnt to have discussed the entire gamut of bilateral ties.
He is also talked to have apprised the Nepali envoy of the obtaining situation in the South Asian region including Kashmir.
The talks mainly covered the situation of the South Asian region after the US forces withdrawal from Afghanistan.
FM Qureshi extended his cordial wishes to Raghubir Mahaseth for being elevated to the rank of foreign minister of Nepal. Qureshi reaffirmed the importance of strong relations between the two countries and underscored the need to further enhance cooperation in all areas of bilateral interest.
Foreign Minister Qureshi thanked the Nepal government for the kind assistance extended for the smooth evacuation of the stranded Pakistani nationals from Nepal o 31st May, last month.
The Nepali envoy, Tapas Adhikari, thanked the Pakistani government for the Covid-19 related assistance.
