The Madhav Kumar Nepal faction of the ruling United Marxist Leninist Party has concluded that the government headed by its party Chairman Khadga Prasad Oli is running neither the government nor the party in an efficient manner.
The two daylong meeting of the faction headed by former Prime Minister Nepal has decided thus to discuss the issue within the party framework from top to the grassroots. The issue will be discussed in all seven federal units followed by discussion at the village level, so opined party leader Yogesh Bhattarai.
He nonetheless claimed that the movement is also intended at strengthening the democratic structure, to bring the newly drafted constitution into practice and to further unify the party cadres.
“We are aware that recently the government was about to bid adieu.
We still remember those grim faces in Baluatar. Madhav Nepal, JN Khanal, Bam Dev and other leaders expressed their total support to the government and played their role to strengthen the government”, he said.
In the meeting, it is reported Madhav Nepal while heavily criticizing the prime minster had said that the prime minister needs electrical shock to wake him up from a deep slumber.
