Kathmandu: Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli is in a visible manner losing his nationalist credentials whatever he have had earned at time of the merciless Economic Blockade imposed by the Indian regime now controlled by great South Asian dramatist, Narendar Bhai Modi.
Senior political leader Prakash Koirala very freshly has said of the incumbent PM that “Oli is a nationalist by default”.
Sounds funny.
Koirala made these observations while talking to the Nav Chetana Online portal recently.
Though prior to this blockade, Oli was taken by the general population as to have been a UML leader who brought heaven down to earth in tactfully managing the Nepal’s Mahakali River to go into the pockets of the Indian establishment which caused even a split in the party then.
In lieu, Oli was allowed Medanta Hospital treatment, as the rumors went then in Kathmandu’s political circuit, and that too with a “GRATIS” status.
UML leader Oli perhaps is a patient of Renal Impairment. Get well soon PM Oli.
Nepal PM Oli’s leaning towards India is increasing these days in an unwarranted manner as is being felt by the political animals across the nation.
Submission too must have a limit, say domestic political brains.
The manner he is being dwarfed by Indian PM Modi’s personality, a makeup that is not even appreciated by his own nationals in essence back home, has been causing deep annoyance in the country in that PM Oli in series has been awarding Nepali Rivers to be harnessed by the regional Goliath.
When Deuba’s government in the recent past scrapped the Budhi Gandaki Hydro power project from the Chinese company, the Gezhouba Group, Oli and his entire UML team much ahead of assuming the seat of the Prime Minister of Nepal had declared that “ I would revert the Deuba government decision” made as regards to the Chinese Company.
His growl made then appeared in many more ways than one that Oli as next Nepal PM would instantly award the Budhi Gandakai HP back to be built by the Chinese Gezhouba Group of companies.
To recall, the needed clearance to this Budhi Gandaki Power project had been granted to China’s Gezhouba in the year 2015 itself.
It was reportedly a 2.5 billion deal made with China’s state owned company. The fate of this project remains yet to be decided.
As if “deliberate” distancing China acts were not enough, Nepal government this Tuesday announced that the West Seti Hydro Power Project will now be built by channelizing “our own internal resources” which meant that the West Seti power project, 750 MW, that had been awarded to China’s “Three Gorges” Corp. too has been rejected to China by Nepal under PM Oli who is all set to visit Beijing shortly.
The Indian media takes PM Oli as a Beijing man though.
The West Seti project cost has been estimated to the tune of 1.6 billion.
That the Chinese company will not be allowed to build the West Seti has been flatly announced this Tuesday by the Nepali‘s finance minister, Yubraj Khatiwada, while presenting the annual fiscal budget in the Parliament.
The finance minister since his student days was affiliated with the UML party, sources say.
Oli elevated his ranks to become the Country’s Finance Minister.
Arun-3 has already been pocketed by Modi’s India.
Nepali rivers remain now in a terrified situation thinking that soon their fate shall be decided by PM Oli in India’s favor.
The fear is real.
China must have been watching the Nepali political trend.
