The senior Maoist leader, Mohan Baidya ‘Kiran’ has expressed his reservations as regards the Nepal Prime Minister’s fresh trip to Beijing, China.
PM Oli will return Nepal tomorrow from Lhasa, Tibet.
Perhaps Mohan Baidya, the former mentor of Maoists Chairman Prachanda of the “New Delhi shelter era” is not that much happy with the much publicized trip to Beijing of Nepal’s Prime Minister KPS Oli for some exclusive political reasons.
Mohan Baidya who is the Chairman of the Maoist party-Revolutionary (with not even having a dozen of the followers in the party he chairs presumably at the moment) simply says that “how me and my party could take PM Oli’s fresh visit to Beijing as to have become a successful one when the latter has miserably failed in raising the issue of the Lipulek blunder jointly committed by both India and China”?
To recall, Lipulek is a Nepal-India-China tri-junction in Western Nepal wherein the three countries converge but yet the land, Lipulek as such, belongs solely to Nepal.
It is this Lipulek strip in Nepal through which China and India have already agreed to develop their bilateral trade in 15 May, 2015 and that too without informing the master of the land that is Nepal.
“Both India and China have committed a blunder that needs to be corrected”, claims the revolutionary leader who spent some good ten years in India during the so called Delhi encouraged people’s war.
Per chance, Mr. Baidya was imprisoned by the Indian Police in Siliguri, West Bengal, while the “revolutionary” leader was on the way to a hospital for his eye treatment.
He was nabbed by the Indian Police right inside the hospital, it was rumored then.
Similarly, CP Gajurel was imprisoned in Chennai, India while he was about the board a flight to London, we had been told then.
Rumors had then that Mr. Baidya was arrested by the Indian Police in Siliguri under the pressure from the Maoists leaders’ duo, Prachanda and Dr. Bhattarai for having a secret deal with the Indian government that were to facilitate the revolutionary party and its leaders to enter into Nepal en masse under the garb of the 12 point peace process drafted by the Indian regime then.
Thanks GP Koirala was trusted for accomplishing this Delhi job. (Rest in Peace).
Had Mohan Baidya not been sent to prison, he would not have perhaps allowed the top Maoists duo to sign this Delhi drafted peace agreement with the then agitating seven political parties whose leaders that time were all been summoned by Delhi to witness the signing of the said agreement that later paved the way for the destruction of Nepal.
Mohan Baidya while talking to Nepali Radio network, June 23, 2018, said that neither PM Oli could raise this issue, Lipulek, with PM Modi who was very recently in Nepal nor he could do the same while he was in China with President Xi Jinping.
More so, Mohan Baidya says that why there has been no agreement as such in between Nepal and China on granting trade and transit facilities which is due for Nepal as a land locked country?
Why PM Oli failed in having an agreement with China on matters pertaining to facilitation of trade and transit facilities during the visit? Why?
When PM Oli failed to bring in substantial gains for Nepal from China, then how to take PM Oli’s China visit as a successful one?
The visit has thus been a total failure, says Mohan Baidya in an implied manner.
Mr. Rajendra Pant for News 24 perhaps interviewed the revolutionary leader who would do well if he opts for a retirement from politics.
