Nepal: Japan supports Building new Classrooms

Biratnagar/Kathmandu: His Excellency the Ambassador Japan KIKUTA Yutaka, signed a grant contract with Mr. Lakpa Nurbu Sherpa, President of NPO Nepal Volunteer Social Service, for building new classrooms of Shree Himalaya Secondary School in Sankhuwasabha District.

The project is funded under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) scheme of the Government of Japan and involves a grant of about 23.

2 million rupees.

The project is aimed to enhance the educational environment by constructing eleven classrooms.

The Embassy of Japan believes the project will provide a safe and pleasant learning environment for students and will improve the students’ quality of education.

The assistance will further strengthen the cooperative friendship between the peoples of Japan and Nepal now and for future generations.
