Though the talk of Nepal PM KPS Oli visiting China has at least come to a grinding halt perhaps for a brief period, however, the all time tall talking former Prime Minister of Nepal, Mr. Madhav Kumar Nepal, is already in China and has duly attended a symposium held in Xian, China.

Mr. Nepal who is also a top hat of the ruling UML party has assured the Chinese authorities that all the agreements that have already been inked in between Nepal and China in the past shall all be fully honored.

The UML full-bodied persona has also told the authorities whom he met in Beijing and Xian that Nepal shall do all she can in order to bring into effect the agreements and the deals signed with China in the recent past more so after the great quake of 2015 April.

Perhaps Mr. Nepal felt the need to take the Chinese side into confidence who may have suspected the very intentions of Nepal government led by KPS Oli who had to attend to the BOAO conference on Asia in Henan Province but unfortunately proceeded towards Delhi thus avoiding the Chinese invitation without furnishing any logical explanations.

Nepal’s India first policy this time also brought into effect.

How the Chinese side took this Nepal PM’s non-participation at the BOAO conference will take some time to come to the open, yet the Nepal PM Oli consoled the Chinese diplomats housed in mini-Beijing in Kathmandu by attending to an event wherein the Chinese side extended its support in the installation of Solar plants that now could be used in lighting the Central Secretariat, Singh Durbar.

( Observers in Kathmandu opine that instead of engaging heavy weight China in such trifling matters, Nepal could have sought Chinese help on some bigger projects that could have benefitted larger section of the population).

The program that was attended by Mr. Nepal in China was held under the aegis of the Nepal Sanghai Cooperation organization, NSCO.

Mr. Nepal also told his Chinese hosts that since Nepal have already signed the one belt One Road scheme, OBOR, and thus Nepal is sure to benefit from the Chinese brain child.
