As the uncrowned King of Nepal residing in Delhi, so he is being taken by a section of Nepali society unfortunately, PM Narendra Modi is all set to make a trip whose date and the places of interests to be visited in Nepal, which he he has himself fixed is approaching fast.

This explains his coercive clout stamped by the 12 point fractured nation.The 12 point agreement drafted in Delhi, to recall, has brought all the miseries to this once independent nation that was Nepal.

What is more than surprising is the smartness and the dedication with which the province and the central government under PM Oli have converged at a common point in making this unwanted trip, sorry to say, of PM Modi to Nepal a Himalayan success is mind baffling as such conjunction of the entire segments of the scattered State machinery have had never worked in tandem to make any visit being made by a foreigner a resounding success. However, this time Modi is the luckiest man on earth as he is the single Indian “conspiratorial brain” ( among the crowd) who has mesmerized the entire Nepali population to the extent that he, read PM Modi, has been swinging the Nepali bureaucracy and the entire cabinet members to the tune he prefers.

No wonder Indian army men have been landing in Nepal’s Janakpur much to the dismay of Nepal’s incompetent Army. Just an ornament only?

The local viceroy, the Indian Ambassador, MS Puri, posted in Nepal has his own duties which is to buy the loyalty of Nepali leaders and dilapidated bureaucrats through the excessive use of the free Indian scholarship gift. He is performing his job in a desired manner that secures the Indian interests. Nepal’s tilted but yet vibrant media is also supporting the envoy save a few.

Perhaps the service is not a free lunch.
Beginning Janakpur then a brief stopover in Kathmandu, the new protectorate of India after the 12 point agreement sponsored and meticulously drafted by Delhi, and finally to Muktinath temple and then back to Delhi-once the seat of the Mughal emperors and the British India Company in the not so distant past, the unwanted trip makes a full circle.
While PM Modi compelled Nepal authorities to invite him, however, what he failed to understand as to how much the Nepali population hate him due to the imposition of the six months long blockade and also with the continuing bullying acts.
Such acts have become already a nonstop phenomenon since King Tribuvan took shelter in Delhi long time back. It took a new height when the Nepal Maoists repeated the same sponsored trick, if one were to recall.
The Blockade stigma still haunts the Nepalese who have had to undergo through the inhumane harrowing experience and that too for not a fault committed by either Nepal or by the Nepalese.
Albeit, some Nepali nationals with Indian souls, a few domestic leaders and local vibrant media included, enjoyed the entire blockade for understandable reasons.
The Social media, FB and Twitter included, in Nepal have nothing these days but hundred percent hatred for the visiting Indian guest.
This is very sad though but yet true.
The hatred is increasing as Modi’s arrival in Janakpur is approaching.
The talk of felicitating Modi here and there has also added fuel to the fire and the Blockade tortured population ask as to why for is this felicitation? For having imposed blockade? For having encroached upon Nepali landmass? For having intensified the act of micro-managing Nepal and in its internal affairs? Or for having made a sovereign Nepal new protectorate a la baby Bhutan?

And many more. The list is long.
The Mother Nature also perhaps is not in a mood to greet PM Modi in Nepal as the welcome gates erected for welcoming Modi in Janakpur have become the victim of sudden blizzards that have hit Nepal’s Terai. The damaged gates are being reconstructed.
India is the loser in that PM Modi preferred to limit himself to be the India’s PM for Nepal’s province-2 only but not of the entire Nepalese.

This act has also exposed his inner intent to a greater extent. A word to the wise should be enough.
A few Nepali nationalists have appealed through social media the entire Nepali population to turn off their lights for at least ten minutes on May 11th evening-the day PM Modi is in Kathmandu. This perhaps signals the message that the people of Nepal wish to pass on it to PM Modi. Very sad.
