Nepal too had Prachanda and Dr. B.R Bhattarai as good as Prabhakaran who fractured Nepal into pieces under instructions from across the border in the South.

The Nepal born Bhutan King remains ever in a terrified state fearing that his throne may have the similar fate of the Nepal King Gyanendra if he or his Prime Minister prefers to inch closer to China.

Bhutan King is in the throne because he has surrendered to the mercy of the Indian establishment. That’s it.

The Maldives also fears the forced landing of the Indian peace keeping forces, IPKF, if and when President Soleh decides to distance with India.

That Nepal Prime Minister Oli is a longtime associate of the New Delhi establishment has been testified by Oli’s foreign minister who just the other day agreed to “skip” the next SAARC Summit which was to be held in Pakistan under the pretext of giving continuity to the regional body’s functioning.

If so then will Nepal agree to skip any SAARC meets in the days and years ahead from being held in New Delhi if per chance Pakistan tells the regional members including Nepal that Pakistan feels uncomfortable for the SAARC meet being held in Delhi?

Will Kathmandu abide by Islamabad’s request?

Skipping the SAARC venue can’t be the desired solution. Instead, skipping under Indian instructions will annoy other members of the SAARC.

If this skipping practice continue then the regional body will surely die a premature death.

Instead Nepal should have convinced Delhi to take easily the SAARC Summit being held in Pakistan.

Nepal as the current Chair of the SAARC should take initiatives to bring India and Pakistan closer than obeying to the instructions of Delhi which wants to isolate Pakistan.

Nepal’s Foreign Minister Gyawali had urged the member states to explore all viable options to hold the 19th Summit at an early date and to generate the new momentum and dynamism in SAARC, according to a Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement.

His all “viable options” meant skipping Pakistan as next venue of the SAARC meet, claim observers.

Expressing Pakistan’s desire to host the SAARC top meet, FM Qureshi said that in the spirit of regionalism and as per Pakistan’s commitment to the SAARC platform, he would like to reiterate the country’s willingness for hosting the 19th summit in Islamabad at the earliest.

This means that Islamabad was ready to host the next Summit.

Indian stance is clear but why Nepal preferred to skip the venue from Islamabad to any other South Asian capital? This is intriguing.

Certainly, Nepal has once again fallen in Delhi’s trap which proves that PM Oli is once again in the pocket of PM Modi.

If so then is PM Oli an accidental nationalist? Perhaps yes.

This is how the New Delhi’s revamped neighborhood policy would function henceforth. Nepal has already surrendered much ahead of the new policy is to come into force.

The initiative is once again to woo the smaller neighbors and press them hard so that these Capitals in South Asia never ever dare to look towards Beijing.

The imperial mindset inherited perhaps from the former Masters?

But, Beijing knows how to seduce these Delhi misbehaved and mishandled South Asian nations.

The Kashmiri pro-India political man Dr. Farooq Abdullah tentatively invited China to invade Indian occupied Kashmir in an indirect manner while talking to Karan Thapar, the WIRE journalist.

This has definitely some meaning for the excited Chinese. But are they excited?

Most of these SA nations by this time have already distanced with India and taken the roads that leads to Beijing.

Beijing has benefitted from India’s coercive diplomacy and Abdullah’s fresh invitation adds one more feather in the Chinese cap for free.

Isn’t India the prime loser?

The attending of the SAARC foreign Ministers level meet by India is also taken as the first step in the damage control scheme of the racist Indian government.

It is wooing of the angered neighbors.

Only Pakistan which has the power and the guts to face India with a matching strength and it is this power of Pakistan that Nepal would like to take the SA neighbor as a suitable and fitting political and nuclear deterrent in this region which has the ability to push India back.

In a way, India is the regional monster which has almost killed the SAARC and may eat up one fine morning even the BIMSTEC, the Bay of Bengal Initiative which is almost the tail of PM Modi.
India’s proximity with the US is its strength however, it is this tie that has practically distanced India with smaller neighbors and from the Arab world for its intense Islamophobic attitude. The Arabs hate India but only the commercial ties glues both. The hatred is deep inside the hearts of the Arabs as was made evident by UAE Princess Hend’s outbursts early this year.

The Muslim countries in and around Gulf/Middle East have slowly begun to feel the heat of the Islamophobic India.

In the meanwhile, Syed Ali Zia Jaffery writes for the Diplomat dated September 21, 2020, that Developments in the Afghan peace process have always had a direct bearing on the trajectory of Washington’s ties with Islamabad and that relations between the two countries have improved owing to Pakistan’s positive role in helping the United States and the Afghan Taliban strike a deal.

The commencement of the Intra-Afghan dialogue in Doha, Qatar, coupled with US acknowledgement of Pakistan’s go between efforts, is good for Pakistan-US relations”.

In the meantime, the Pak PM Khan has warned that, “A hasty international withdrawal from Afghanistan would be unwise. We should also guard against regional spoilers who are not invested in peace and see instability in Afghanistan as advantageous for their own geopolitical ends,” he wrote in the US daily Washington post dated September 27, 2020.
Khan suspects some nasty elements pampering the Afghanistan peace process.

This opinion-statement has come in the backdrop of a meeting between delegations from the Afghan government and the Taliban in Doha (Qatar) that commence on September 12 for the resumption of negotiations, toward a political settlement in Afghanistan.

Khan’s opinion has also come after the US Special Representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad recently in an interview said that the Taliban would not agree to a comprehensive ceasefire until there is a political settlement.

The Oxford graduate Prime Minister also said that “In order to divert the attention from its illegal actions and atrocities in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir, India is playing a dangerous game of upping the military ante against Pakistan in a nuclearized strategic environment”.

One would prefer to believe Khan’s accusations in that Pakistan understands the Indian tricks better sine the very next day of the grand partition.

Pakistan needs peace in Afghanistan and vice versa and this fact the USA understands.

More importantly, the newly appointed US envoy to Pakistan, William E. Todd, has said that Pakistan now has an even more important role in ending the Afghan war than it did in arranging a peace deal with the Taliban.

Ambassador Todd, who was nominated by President Donald Trump earlier this year, told his confirmation that Pakistan remained a difficult but essential US partner in South Asia, and Washington was seeking to reset its ties with Islamabad, writes the Dawn/Diplomat dated September 24, 2020.

Acknowledging that the two allies have had differences, Ambassador Todd added: “Pakistan is an essential regional partner, and this is an opportune moment in our relationship to work together on shared goals.”

The new US envoy said that cooperation between the two countries was also essential for bringing peace and stability to Afghanistan.

“Today, our countries recognize that we share a common interest in a durable peace in Afghanistan,” Ambassador Todd told the Senate panel.

Recently, several senior US officials acknowledged that Pakistan played a key role in arranging a peace deal between the US and the Taliban earlier this year. Washington hopes that this deal will ultimately end the 19-year old war in Afghanistan and will allow it to withdraw its troops from the war-ravaged country, the Dawn reports.

Summing up, the US present attitude and inclination hint at the fact that the USA understands that without Pakistan’s open and effective help, there is no end to its Afghan imbroglio.

India apparently tried to fish in Afghan hot waters, offering to mediate with the Taliban, but USA rejected Indian overtures, say high placed sources in Washington.

Back to our story, apart from thwarting peace in Afghanistan, India’s RAW is creating troubles in each and every South Asian country-the thrust of the RAW is in Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh and obviously Afghanistan also.
