Former Prime Minister and leader of Nepal Communist Party, Madhav Kumar Nepal has finally broken his long silence.
And what was expected of him has come true.
It was believed that as and when the communist leader breaks his silence then he shall air some bitter words for the incumbent government led by his own party Chairman KP Sharma Oli.
In a sarcastic comment made in the federal assembly 27 September, 2018, Mr. Nepal pounced upon the government mainly criticizing current law and order situation of the country.
However, Mr. Nepal’s attacked the Home Minister but in an oblique manner his target was the Prime Minister himself.
Ram Bahadur Thapa aka Badal is currently the in charge of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Badal, a former rebel leader also has the distinction of residing in New Delhi for all along the Maoists led revolt under the kind hospitality of the Indian government.
Madhav in the parliament said, “I remain puzzled whether the country has any state organs to stop growing criminal activities”.
Nepal had a pointed question to the Home Minister, “We need results…”
“What are you doing when the nation is feeling the brunt of continued rapes of the minors, acid attacks on school going girls and rampant corruption in the country, asked Nepal.
“Why the Home Administration is silent”, he questioned further.
In a more direct manner, Mr. Nepal told the Parliament that he and his party colleagues feel ashamed over the increase in the criminal activities and feel sorry for the Home Administration in having miserably failed in curbing the increasing chaotic activities in the country in the recent days and months.
“When we come to the next session of the parliament I hope such criminal activities shall be dealt with properly so that the laymen could feel that the State exists”.
Making a passing comment, he also sought explanations from the government, “When some dangerous-divisive elements inside the country have been making anti-national and irrelevant demands and their sympathizers too have been found encouraging the secessionist utterances, does the government has any plans to curb such activities”.
PM Oli is in a tour of the USA and has already met with President Trump.
At least the photo speaks that he has met the US President.
However, it does sound that PM Oli and Mr. Nepal are not in good terms with each other. In the meanwhile, Bijaya Kumar Gachhedar, who has returned back to his mother party after traveling a lot for decades, the Nepali Congress, too has taken to task the government more so he also attacked the Home Minister Mr. Badal.
Gachhedar said, Home Minister Badal is simply helpless”.
That’s all.
