PM KP Sharma Oli, who is on a six-day official visit to China, held a bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang.
PM OLi has already met the Chinese President Xi Jinping.
During the meeting, Nepal ministers who have accompanied PM Oli to Beijing were also present. The Nepalese Ambassador to China Leela Mani Pokharel was also in the Nepali team.
The high level meet took place in the Great Hall of the People, China.
Earlier, a guard of honor was presented to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at the Great Hall of the People today.
Most importantly, Nepal and the People’s Republic of China have signed agreements on various 10 topics this Thursday.
Likewise, the Kathmandu and Beijing have signed Letter of Exchange on four issues. These deals were sealed in course of the delegation-level talks between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang.
One of the deals agreed upon today between the two friendly nations pertain to the construction of railways.
This perhaps caps all the satires and jokes being made in Nepal by PM Oli’s detractors who may also have a leaning to the South. China rail is now all set to enter inside Nepal.
Similarly, agreements have been signed on topics including promoting energy cooperation.
The two countries have reached understanding regarding the use of highway in Tibet, energy cooperation, economic and technical cooperation and human resources development, among other topics report news agencies present in Beijing together with the Xinhua.
PM Oli is on a six-day official visit to China at the invitation of the Chinese Premier Li.
Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang had hosted a dinner reception in honor of PM Oli on Thursday itself. On his way back to Kathmandu, PM Oli is also scheduled to visit Lhasa of Tibet Autonomous Region. He will meet provincial leaders there.
On Wednesday, he held a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
During the meeting with Xi, PM Oli said that he was assured about the construction of a railway line connecting Kerung of Tibet to Kathmandu.
PM Oli has also invited Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit Nepal.
PM is scheduled to return home on Sunday, June 24, 2018.
