Biratnagar: The Ambassador of Nepal in Islamabad, Pakistan the other day visited the “Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) and, the embassy sources in Islamabad say, had a substantial and fruitful discussion on rice, pulses, tea, cardamom, ginger, sugar and other commodities’ trade in between Nepal and Pakistan.
While welcoming the Nepali Ambassador, Mr. Chela Ram Kewlani and other members of the Association shared the activities of the Association and their keen interest to improve business link between Nepal and Pakistan.
The Nepali envoy, add the embassy sources, assured the local Pakistani traders the Embassy’s full cooperation to the members of the Association to promote bilateral trade between Nepal and Pakistan.
Of late, Nepal’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Shri Tapas Adhikari has given a momentum to his activities in order to enhance Nepal-Pakistan ties on bilateral trade and business.
Nepal and Pakistan both are the distinguished members of the SAARC regional body.
However, both Pakistan and Nepal appear less interested in reviving the India “killed” SAARC regional body.
Most of the SAARC countries are considered to be the “tail” of the Indian regime obviously including Nepal.
Nepal is the current Chair of the SAARC defunct regional body.
