Nepal: Japan Assists Construction of Matribhumi Community Library

Biratnagar: The inauguration ceremony of the Matribhumi Community Library took place in Syangja District on January 26.

An earthquake-resistant library has been constructed as part of a project supported by Japanese Government under the Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO Projects schemes.

The project is being implemented by Japanese NGO Shanti Volunteer Association, and supports the construction of libraries and learning centers, including the Matribhumi Community Library.

At the ceremony, Ambassador Kikuta sent a congratulatory message to everyone involved in the construction of the library. Ambassador expressed his hope that the library will become a community asset that contributes to the development of the region and that the library will be further developed by community.
