Kathmandu, June 20: His Excellency the Ambassador of Japan to Nepal KIKUTA discussed with Nepal’s Inspector General Dhiraj Pratap Singh about the importance of security for the development of Nepal and also held talks on continued cooperation.

H.E. Mr. KIKUTA Yutaka, Ambassador of Japan to Nepal, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Dhiraj Pratap Singh, Inspector General of Police, at the Police HQ, Naxal and Kathmandu.
Ambassador Kikuta congratulated the Inspector General Singh in person for his appointment as the IGP in May.
He also conveyed his congratulations on the peaceful completion of the local elections, and welcomed further progress in Nepal’s democratization.
Both sides also confirmed the importance of security measures toward the revival of tourists from Japan after COVID-19 settles down.
Inspector General Singh also mentioned the security system of the Japanese police, especially the police box system, and explained the importance of Nepalese police receiving training in Japan.
