Kathmandu: The Embassy of Pakistan in Nepal, August 10, 2023, organized a grand reception to celebrate the 76th Independence Day Anniversary of Pakistan at Hotel Yak and Yeti.
The Embassy had collaborated with the Nepal-Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association (NPFCA).
On the solemn occasion, the Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal H. E. Abrar H. Hashmi recalled the close and cordial relations that so happily subsists in between Pakistan and Nepal beginning the establishment of the diplomatic ties.
The Ambassador quoting Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah said that Pakistan’s foreign policy would be one of friendship and peaceful coexistence.
He further said, addressing the galaxy of Kathmandu’s luminaries that Pakistan and Nepal have traditionally enjoyed friendly relations and have developed strong bonds and linkages which spread over a wide spectrum in different fields.
Ambassador Hashmi made a million dollar announcement wherein he said that “Pakistan’s commitment to peace and development are as per the aspirations of people of South Asia”.
The Anniversary Celebrations of Pakistan national day was attended by the Honorable Vice President of Nepal Dr.
Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav.
The Ambassador at the end of his speech, appreciated the sincere efforts of Dr. Manju Ratna Shakya-the president of the NPFCA for the promotion of friendly relations between the two countries.
Dr. Shakya is also one of the senior most journalist of Nepal.
