Nepal: Physiotherapy Center for Biratnagar Seniors inaugurated

Biratnagar: The program began with one minute silence for the victims of the January 15, 2023, Yeti Airlines crash in Pokhara that took the precious lives of some seventy plus innocent civilians that included some foreign nationals as well.

“Senior Citizens are the Ornaments of the Society and the nation at large”, so admitted the galaxy of gathering at a simple but meaningful program organized by the Nepal Rural Development Society Center ( NRDSC) during the opening of a ‘Physiotherapy Center’ meant only for the seniors of Biratnagar municipality, January 16, 2023.

The Physiotherapy Center is located in Ward Number 9 of Biratnagar Municipality.

A host of speakers from different walks of life including some top bankers, and social activists lauded the role played by the Nepal Rural Development Society Center and its Chairman Shri Mani Kumar Arjyal in taking care of the seniors of the society.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Mani Arjyal gave a long list of the upcoming programs meant for benefit of the seniors.
Mr. Arjyal appealed kind hearted donors to assist the therapy center in whatever way they can so that the seniors of the area could be provided health services and that too free of cost.

“We are also thinking to open a shop specially meant for the seniors only and the superstore shall provide services to the seniors/elderly citizens at the cost price of the consumer goods, declared NRDSC Chairman Mani Arjyal.

As per Mr. Arjyal, the center is thinking to buy a transport vehicle meant for the aged seniors.

Those who spoke on the opening ceremony of the Therapy Center . among others, Bhubaneshwar Mandal, Kamal Basnet, Bhojraj Baasyal, Mina Joshi, Mrs. Bishnu Sharma , Krishna Prasad Marsheli, Bishwanath Bhagat,and Paban Bhatta.

Shri Bhesh Prasad Dhamala, a distinguished citizen of Biratnagar spoke high of the sincere efforts made by the NRDSC and its Chairman Mani Arjyal for the overall benefit of the aged citizens of the society.

He also mentioned that the NRDSC has assisted those men and women of the society who are below the poverty line.
The Mayor of the Biratnagar Municipality Shri Nagesh Koirala was the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the Physiotherapy Center.

Mayor Koirala stressed that the seniors must be honored and taken care of as they possess knowledge and wisdom gained thorough their experiences over decades and decades.

“Senior are the reservoir of knowledge”, said Mr. Koirala.

“Seniors are the ornament of our society and they must be honored and respected”, opined Mayor Koirala.

Shri Koirala assured the Organizers of the Physiotherapy center of his unconditional-continued support from the Municipality for the needed health equipment that the center may need in the days ahead.

“I have limited Four Years and three months left in the current post/office and thus I encourage you all to ask for helps that you may need for societal benefits”, opined Mayor Koirala.

The deputy mayor of Biratnagar Municipality Ms. Shilpa Nirala Karki also graced the event.

The program thus ended with a happy note.
