The last step of the damage Nepal campaign in effect was conceived reportedly in the middle of July, 2018 somewhere in Delhi under the cunning leadership perhaps of Mr. Ajit Doval, the Indian national security adviser, and it was this meet in all likelihood which came up with a brilliant idea to train Nepal by sending one high profile BJP functionary called Ram Madhav.
Ram Madhav landed Nepal and instructed our own accidental Maoist veteran, Prachanda of the NOIDA fame that Nepal should now “Look South”.
To admit honestly, Nepal has ever been listening to such dictates and sermons from the coercive Goliath in the South. However, the innocent Indian population has been made to understand the other way round. False education.
The date Ram Madhav advised rather ordered Nepal to look South happened to be the July 31st-the most unfortunate date in the history of Nepal when this sovereign country was forced by Pundit Nehru to sign the most unequal 1950 Treaty of Peace and Friendship which neither brought peace not friendship in between the two treaty signing parties.
The coercion remains intact even as of today. Nepal’s sitting PM signed this Treaty and the other signatory was an India’s high ranking clerk.
It was this day, July 31 that some intelligent brains in Kathmandu had guessed in advance that India had some “nefarious designs” for the already battered Nepal with the weight of the dangerous 12 point agreement that too had been imposed on Nepal by the Indian regime then under proxy Prime Minister Dr. MM Singh from Indira Congress.
This 12 point is still haunting Nepali population in its own manner as conceived by the Indian regime then.
The then Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran did the rest-damage-Nepal acts with proper finesse albeit with the “timely” and active assistance of some of our own domestic political men, close to Mir Jaffors to some extent, who preferred India over Nepal and perhaps continue to possess the same mindset even as of today.
The Nepali Congress then took the lead in assisting Shyam Saran.
So what Ram Madhav instructed Prachanda definitely applied also to his coalition partner, KPS Oli, who after the election and more so upon assuming the coveted post of the nation’s Prime Minister has been, frankly speaking, riding two boats at the same time and observers fear that he may plunge the yacht in the Indian ocean with the tacit arrangement with the Prime Minister of India-PM Modi. Let’s hope he will be not that cruel.
PM Oli is taken by some Nepali academicians as accidental-communist.
Modi’s India is very close to the United States which has made India the boss of the Indo-Pacific region.
Just the other day, the Indian foreign minister Sushma Swaraj and Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held the first high-level 2+2 talks with their US counterparts Mike Pompeo and Jim Mattis, with boosting cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. All four of them also met PM Modi. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Defence Secretary Jim Mattis had arrived in Delhi after visiting Pakistan for the talk.
Sushma Swaraj had received Mr Pompeo, while Ms Sitharaman welcomed Jim Mattis at the Palam airport, reflecting the importance of the talks, which were held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan in Delhi, report Indian news agencies.
And here is regional Goliath-read India born 1947-which wants to drag the entire members of the BIMSTEC countries into this Indo-Pacific fold.
The US is not at fault for America as the world power would definitely wish to garner increased influence in each and every corner of the Globe, however, the Indian design is to make the Bay of Bengal countries the enemy of China first and then Pakistan with whom India has traditional enmity.
The BIMSTEC members, Nepal included, were all set to join a joint military drill in Pune, India, in a day or two under the instigation of the South Asian regional bully, however, Nepali nationalists rose to the occasion and compelled PM KP Sharma Oli to cancel Nepal Army’s participation in the said drill to be held in Pune, India, as stated earlier.
The Nepal Army top hats have been told by the PM Not to proceed for India. This caps the Indian design at least for the time being.
India got two jolts at a time. The first is that China, India’s arch rival, has now been kind enough to grant six transit points to Nepal in its territory thus making Nepal to depend less on the coercive regime that is India.
Thailand too has decided not tto be a part of the India designed joint military drill. Albeit some observers shall be sent to Pune, India from Thailand.
Frankly speaking, no country in the region or beyond shall dare to fight with China individually. The reasons are aplenty.
If Nepal is clever enough and connects China through construction of roads inside Nepal then the dependency on India is over. Oh! That would be the day.
The noted senior economist of Nepal, Madhukar SJB Rana says of the China awarded transit facilities to Nepal in the recent days, “This is a Himalayan breakthrough in our diplomacy. Now we shall not refer to Nepal as India locked. One suggestion: we should take loans from AIIB to invest in warehouses in the dry ports and sea ports so that we can bulk our export cargo to get better sea fares to East Asia and Pacific”.

Mr. Rana was the finance minister during the Royal Regime in the not so distant past.
As Mr. Rana has said, Nepal can ask the AIIB to make the funds available as soft loans for increased connectivity with China.
And the second jolt is the non-participation in the India designed military drill of the BIMSTEC members in Pune. A bolt from the blue for India.
For the first shock to India, here is how a veteran in the conduct of international relations Dr. Anil Sigdel based in Washington D.C, who is associated with the Nepal Matters for America Forum says in his own right a somewhat surprising data for some Indo-pendent academicians and look what he has to say, (sic) “Experts ability to misunderstand Nepal continues to amaze me, the cost of cargo from Kolkata to Kathmandu is three times more than the cost of that from Hamburg, Germany to Kolkata. Keeping it that way for decades, you expect excellent cooperation from Nepal, other ordeals apart.
Experts ability to misunderstand Nepal continues to amaze me, FYI, the cost of cargo from Kolkata to Kathmandu is 3 times more than the cost of that from Hamburg, Germany to Kolkata. Keeping it that way for decades, you expect excellent cooperation from Nepal, other ordeals apart

Big jolt to India but in a modest manner academically.
These two Himalayan shocks have come to India at a time which she will have to swallow under circumstantial compulsion.
Yet one thing is boggling the minds of the Nepali population together with the nationalist media as to why China is helping Nepal unconditionally when she knows that PM Oli is not close to Beijing but instead is a declared yes man of India?
The only likely answer would be that yes China understands better that the current leadership in Nepal is India friendly but not that of the China’s but yet the support to Nepal is China’s conclusion that the majority of the Nepali population possess respect and honor for China. And that’s all. Now it remains to be seen as to how India suffocates with the disturbing news that says in part that transit facilities has now been granted to Nepal by China?
But Prachanda has met with PM Modi and talked for some one hour. What he may have talked could be guessed as he is the one who has spent some good ten years in Delhi. It is time to pay the obligations of the past good old days. Isn’t it? Political differences shall begin to surface in between the Maoists and the UML paraphernalia whose sole aim would be to topple the government of accidental communist-KP Oli. After all Modi will try to destabilize Nepal at least for one time more. Guess only.
