Nepal: Why Pakistan Rejects Bangladesh aid?

N. P. Upadhyaya (Aryal)

Kathmandu: The straight no or say refutation of Independent and sovereign Pakistan to the approaching Bangladeshi “assistance” that was to be delivered soon in the name of the flood victims has raised and left many a questions unanswered.

The primary question is “why Pakistan preferred to avoid accepting the Bangladeshi “humanitarian” support meant for the recent flood victims of Pakistan?

The climatic conditions this monsoon brought untold sufferings for the people of friendly Pakistan.

Today if it is Pakistan then the next could be Nepal, India or Bangladesh.

Mother Nature doesn’t differentiate between and among the nations and doesn’t care who the Prime Minister is or even of what size the country is.

What could have been the reason to reject the aid proposal from B’desh more so the latent political motive?
And the next important question thus could also be asked as to “how the Bangladeshi” government may have taken the unexpected Pakistani negation to the B’desh assistance?

Questions galore.

The last but not the least the question is “how this Pakistani refusal of the B’deshi assistance” shall have its “impact” on the half-developed friendly ties over these years in between the two Islamic nations-the one of M. Ali Jinnah and the other of Sheikh Mujib.

Notably, it is the Islamic religion that had already brought the two South Asian nations closer to each other even after the “deliberate” split of Pakistan by the Indian machinations in the early seventies.

Madame Indira Gandhi took the visible lead in splitting Pakistan.

B’desh intolerance for the Hindu living in the country is a different story.

B’desh is highly a sensitive Islamic country in manhandling the Hindus in one pretext or the other though it claims that the Nation observes tolerance.

In a write up prepared by DW (Deutsche Welle) dated 22, 09, 2022, “Do Bangladeshi Hindus feel safe” says that “memories of a communal attack during last year’s Durga Puja Festival are still fresh in the minds of many Hindus in B’desh. They have taken measures to ensure this year’s event is a more peaceful occasion”.

The DW further writes that the “ Widely circulated footage on social media purported to show a copy of the Quran being placed on the lap of the Hindu deity Hanuman.

The video was seen as insulting by many of Bangladesh’s Muslim majority and provoked hundreds to protest in more than a dozen districts. Houses belonging to Hindus were attacked and seven people were killed.

B’desh must understand that Nepal too has a sizable chunk of Muslim Population who have lived together with the Hindus for centuries and even prefer the outright reinstatement of Nepal as a Hindu State.

This should explain Nepali tolerance.

The sudden negative response by Pakistan, let’s presume for the sake of political convenience, must have some solid political reasons behind which may have persuaded the Pakistani establishment to send a different and bitter signals to the B’deshi nation which, let’s recall the not so distant past, used to be an in alienable/integral part of Pakistan.

This means that the so called “liberation war” was nothing but a cosmetic cover manufactured by the RAW plotting to lure the world community that in effect a new nation in South Asia is soon to emerge.

However, the fact is that entire knowledgeable men who understand internal dynamics of political science and its “coercion and subversion” theories understand that it was a broad day light long accumulating of the Indian jealousy which killed two birds with a single stone: it not only created an almost satellite nation in South Asia and also weakened Pakistan-its declared and competing rival-Pakistan.

Thanks that the South Asian region now has two nuclear nations: India and its born rival Pakistan.

Needless to say, the nuclear capabilities acquired by Pakistan is a perfect, competing and a corresponding nuclear deterrent to Indian whims which tentatively rules the entire South Asian region mercilessly whether it be Sri Lanka, Bhutan, the Maldives and Nepal which is very close to Sikkimisation by the Indian establishment through the tacit/posted and paid political stooges of the Indian regime.

Nepal has an India comfortable government in place under the Apex Court Orders, to recall.

The Chief Justice who brought this government is now himself the target of the India bend ruling elites.
Nature took revenge. Committed sin speaks louder when time is mature.

Needless to say, the new Citizenship drive being carried out by the “Nepal’s ruling coalition” partners with intended early Sikkimisation of Nepal so that these inferior political creatures could be deputed as the Chief Minister(s) of the Sikkimised Nepal.

Indian machinations are active in Nepal more than in Delhi and Dhaka.

The RAW menace is from the next door neighbor.

In a nut shell, Nepal is being run by Nepali nationals with “Mera Bharat Mahan” souls or, alternatively speaking, by the corrupt, ugly, and the dirty sons and daughters of Gandhi, Nehru and Modi.

The Pakistani bottom line apparently is: though being the victim of the world’s worst flood, the Islamic nation is not receiving any aid or for that matter assistance from Bangladesh (the former East Pakistan as it was called then) for somewhat “valid reasons”.

What is notable here is that Pakistan in the recent days and weeks has received “aid donations for flood fatalities” from across the countries of the world, from even the Indian Prime Minister Modi’s proxy rulers in Nepal.

But the South Asian nation, Pakistan, for a variety of political reiterations and comments made in the recent and not in the so distant past against Pakistan by the Bangladeshi government is what is taken as the prime reason for refusing the acceptance of the aid from its own territory that is now Bangladesh.

The fact is also that Bangladesh, though a country with a clear and visible political tilts towards the Indian regime-the country which planned its birth in the RAW head quarters in Delhi during Madame Indira Gandhi’s time but is yet a sovereign nation now.

But is Zainal Abedin happy with his own country’s unusual India tilt? Perhaps not.

Pakistani grievances apart, the fact is that Bangladesh is a new South Asian nation carved out purposely by the Indian designers in order to weaken Pakistan.

The intended birth of Bangladesh was brought into existence in that India needed a ‘helping hand’ in South Asia much similar to the category of Baby Bhutan with the hidden motive to use this new country as and when India landed in trouble either in the South Asian region or beyond.

Dhaka tried many a times to approach China, however, Indian authorities deny such “permission”.

Undoubtedly, Bangladesh is the formation of India became clear when Bangladesh joined the Indian plan and postponed the SAARC Summit scheduled for Islamabad.

The SAARC Summit which is still due has tentatively been killed by the regional bully, India, with the express understanding of the countries that are taken as the tails of India.

Indian plan was to kill the regional body-the SAARC which demanded the consent of some satellite countries, like Baby Bhutan, Afghanistan, B’desh, and the Maldives, who could stand against Pakistan hosting the SAARC Summit.

Afghanistan prior to the Talibani rule was almost a “blind supporter” of the Indian regime which elevated its ranks in the SAARC regional body as against Nepal King Gyanendra’s preferences who advanced the valid political reason that since Afghanistan was having foreign military men in its soil so let’s not invite Afghanistan until the country is free from foreign armed forces.

King Gyanendra’s tough stand caused immense pain to the Dr. M. M. Singh, then taken as personal assistant of the Italian Queen, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, which prompted him to swear that the Nepal King needs an unceremonious ouster from the Nepali throne and the political developments in Nepal soon went Sonia’s stooge way assisted by his paid and posted stooges in Nepal that run in millions in Nepal.

However, King Gyanendra was able to bring in Republic of China into the SAARC instrument with the Observer Status.

The fun is that the Chinese regime too ditched King Gyanendra when he needed the Chinese help most so since then China is taken as an unreliable partner of Nepal and the Nepali monarchy which is a fact also.

Back to Bangladesh:

The first reason Pakistan presumably attributes to the reiteration of Minister A. K.M Mozammel Haque demanded that each year March 25 be declared as “ International Genocide Day alongside the existing December 9”.
To add insult to injury, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina- presumed as PM Modi’s most obedient woman ruling political authority in Bangladesh has already announced March 25 as the “national Genocide day”.

Pakistan has thus compelling reasons to become distressed with the B’deshi actions and reiterations at different intervals of time.

A breakaway country talks anything under the sun which, as per human psychology is sure to hit its sentiments which found its opening with the Pakistani decision to boycott the flood assistance from Bangladesh.

The Pakistani defiance is genuine as the countries with high morale and integrity prefer to die even rather than to bow down.

This not the end of the story. More is to come.

Bangladesh is on record to have tried many a times with India’s backing to appease the International body- the UN to announce 1971 as “War of Liberation as Day of Genocide”.

Frankly speaking, in the initial days of the formation of Bangladesh, some sort of enthusiasm was noted among the media men in Nepal, (including this scribe) perhaps due to the “dis-information” spread by the India’s paid and posted lobby in Nepal and Pakistan then was taken as a baddie to which it was not which got later proved with the passage of time.

The speed with which the Martial Law President Zia-Ur-Rehman of Bangladesh (who took over the charge of B’desh after the murder of Sheikh Mujib) had the clear and preferred choice to inch closer with the benevolent King Birendra of Nepal for the sole purpose of having a regional body that could minimize the Indian control over the smaller countries was simply marvelous.

In fact, General Zia and King Birendra jointly gave a formal shape to the SAARC regional body which Madame Gandhi took as the “Gang of Four Grouping” which included, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

In fact it was not to what Madame Gandhi thought of. However, with the formal taking a shape of the SAARC regional body with Kathmandu headquarters Indira Gandhi’s grip on smaller countries in the region got definitely weakened.

Perhaps it is this reason which prompted India to kill any regional bodies that is likely to weaken its clout in the neighborhood.

The SAARC body is the classic example of India’s inferiority complex which also cuts a joke to India’s “droop” Neighborhood First Policy-a policy that declared itself dead before it took birth sadly.

As stated in earlier articles, India tried many a times in the past to isolate Pakistan inside the SAARC body but some wise and sane diplomats from across the region convinced Pakistan establishment not to take any decision in a haste.

The fact is also that Pakistan has some openings in the Central Asian countries which is why Pakistan is less interested in the revival of the India killed SAARC.

Pakistan too with the passage of time developed a sort of distaste against the SAARC.

As the current SAARC Chair, Nepal has no commanding authority to press India to let the SAARC Summit happen in Islamabad.

Nepal is a sovereign country but now under the full control of the former regime which was almost a slave of the former British East India Company and of the Samarkand Mughals.

Beginning Zahiruddin Babar and his descendants ruled the landmass for several centuries and later the East India company invaded the South Asian landmass ( which was not India) and the British queen ruled this vast landmass now what is Republic of India after the Britishers granted “conditional” independence to this landmass.
The biggest blunder the United Kingdom commited was to grant Independence to this rouge country for some understandable reasons.

Ask Nepal, Sri Lanka, Baby Bhutan, and the Maldives as to what India means to these countries?

Life in these countries is a hell with the domineering presence/penetration of the regional hooligan who has freshly been appointed as the Police man of South Asia by the lone Super Power-the USA.

Back to Pakistan-Bangladesh ties: Pakistan’s veteran political analyst Safqat Ali writing for the “The Nation” dated September 21, 2022, says that PM Hasina on several occasions has brought issues that more often than not exceeds diplomatic conduct/limits between two sovereign nations.

For example, PM Hasina even summoned the Pakistani High Commissioner Imran Ahmed Siddiqui and said that “the pain of the 1971 of what she calls genocide shall remain forever”.

Ali writes further that she had raised the issue while addressing the UN General Assembly as back as in the year 2017.

Sheikh Hasina is permanent PM of Bangladesh. The blessed Prime Minister.

Naturally it is the raising of these extraneous talks both within and without has aggrieved Pakistani authorities and the foreign Ministry diplomats.

An unnamed senior Pakistani diplomat while talking to the Nation says, in his own words, (how can we accept aid from them? Don’t you remember what they say in the UN and elsewhere? They abuse us and claim to have defeated us in 1971. When they are making such political statements, it thus goes against our honor and pride to accept the aid.

Yet another Pakistani diplomat (Face book friend of the telegraph Nepal portal) wrote through messenger (FB) that there was a consensus that the B’deshi aid must not be accepted as Pakistan will manage the issue with the help of friends across the globe.

I recall in the recent past, Pakistan and Bangladeshi bilateral ties were excellent and it was given to understand that PM Hasina is all set to make a friendly visit to Islamabad.

The Pak High Commissioner Imran Siddiqui even had hinted this scribe though Messenger that Hasina is likely to pay a short visit to Islamabad Soon.

More interesting was, I recall, the visit of President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto to Dhaka in the initial days of the B’deshi creation.

Bhutto was greeted in a grand manner in Dhaka which took the then Indian HC, J. N. Dixit by surprise.

He later wrote in his voluminous book “My South Block Years” that HC Dixit while returning back to his office in Dhaka from the Airport after customary greeting the visiting dignitary from Dhaka airport. Dixit’s official Car was stormed with stones, and greeted by torn shoes and sandals by the local Dhakaites.

Dixit then said that India now has two Pakistan in South Asia: Islamabad and Dhaka.

Dixit also talks of identical religions must have worked.

However, the deep penetration of the RAW management, we are given to understand that Dhaka is almost takes by the local residents as the puppet of India which got certified recently when country’s sitting Foreign Minister A. K Momen approached India straight and appealed for substantial helps so that PM Hasina captures power again in India created country?

And yet the India’s retired military man Ashok Mehta in an article published in the Tribune India September 29, 2022 laments that Beijing’s entrance in Dhaka bodes ill for Delhi’s neighborhood first policy that has, to say honestly, failed miserably.

Despite Delhi’s irritation, China is still Dhaka’s biggest trade partner ($18 billion), biggest investor ($26 billion) and has made project commitments worth $38 billion.

Moreover, Chinese envoy in Dhaka Li Jiming in Dhaka asked Bangladesh not to join the Quad which stirred the diplomatic hornet’s nest.

All said and done, Delhi, as far as we have understood India, it will not allow Dhaka to go out from India’s orbit of influence. That’s all.
