‘India’s strategic moves to save Nepal Monarchy on’

TGW

With the countdown to the ouster of King Gyanendra from Narayanhiti Royal Palace already begun, the RAW-India’s Intelligence Agency has been actively involved to cut short the process of the declaration of Republic in Nepal.

The Mahima National Daily dated May 15, 2008 reveals that a seven member high level RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) delegation is currently in Nepal to bring to an end to the process of the declaration of Republic.

The Mahima Weekly adds India’s former ambassador to Nepal Mr. K.V. Rajan who is the deputy to India’s National Security Advisor M.K. Narayanan, met with King Gyanendra on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at around mid-night.

“It has been agreed between Nepal’s King Gyanendra and Mr. Rajan that the process adopted to declare Nepal a republic has inherent flaws in it and thus the process must be halted”, writes Mahima Daily citing high placed sources close to the royal palace.

“With King Gyanendra accepting some proposals forwarded by Mr. Rajan on behalf of the Indian government, India has abruptly changed its policy on Nepal monarchy”, writes Mahima weekly further.

However, what proposals had India forwarded through former Ambassador Rajan to the Nepal King is not known.

“Similarly, the RAW delegation has met with Nepal Army’s high ranking officials” reveals the weekly news paper that is considered to be close to the Maoists paraphernalia. What transpired between the Nepal Army officials and the RAW machinery visiting Nepal has been kept a guarded secret.

The Nepali Congress leaders who are close to the Indian establishment after meeting the RAW delegation headed straight to meet Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala.

It was earlier reported that India’s Congress-I President, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi has been actively lobbying for the continuation of Monarchy in Nepal.  In the process, Former Ambassadors’ K.V.Rajan’s presence in Kathmandu should be taken.

This is loaded with meaning.

i dont have any problem with the King he is going to be a King or not. I am not even against to republic but, country has to be very good like earlier for which Nepal was knowing we wants our earlier Nepal back. All the religion will stay together without fear and i think India is playing cross game with us coz he wants to see our Nepal as a Gujrat in india. now we are not safe in Nepal bcoz of some politicals parties. we want Nepal safe where we used roam anywhere at anytime in the night without fear.... Jai Nepal

Now Nepal is really in a critical position. On one side there are so called political leaders who has already sold the country, buyer is still unknown. Another side there is King who is a Nationalist and wants to save his Kingdom but is in a controversy. I would like to say that King has always thought in favour of our country and have never bargained on any point. If he would have bargained then I am sure he would have never faced this sitution. If India wants to go in favour of Monarchy then its good. Coz he can never find anyone trustful then King. And I think our King is a rational person and he will only accept the points that are in favour of our country. Monarchy is most important factor for soverginity and unity of the country. These Maoists are nothing but just monkeys out from jungle.
