Maoists to revive parallel Govt Structure: Dr.Bhattarai

TGW

The Nepal Communist Party-Unified Maoists’ has decided to speedily revive the party’s local parallel government.

The fresh decision taken by the Maoists’ Party is against the broader peace agreement signed between the State and the then Maoists’ rebels, claim sources.

The Unified Maoists’ steering committee meeting held in the party headquarters Kathmandu had decided to revive the parallel structure.

“The process of revival of the local parallel government will be accomplished with the support of the Unified Uprising Committee”, said Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai, the Maoists party vice chairman.

Dr. Bhattarai was of the opinion that since the United Marxist Leninists and the Nepali Congress have ignored the Maoists’ proposal to establish local administration on the basis of the votes garnered by each parties in the proportional voting system, the Maoists’ party have decided to appoint local government on its own.

This is what Prachanda means when he screams civilian supremacy. What he really means is Maoist dictatorship. How long can we bear the fact of this so called bullshit? Just the other day in Nepal news .com, there was a report that an YCL commander in the dead of the night kidnapped a 17 year old girl and tried to sell her to a circus in India. How long can we Nepalese people digest this? Why is the GOVT scared when prachanda cries for an armed revolt? We all know that Prachanda has no balls to carry out this threat. We should have a revolt so that we can wipe out these Maoists once and for all. Is the Govt. going to stay silent of this so called nonsense of parallel govt.? PEOPLE MUST OPPOSE THIS A COME OUT ON THE STREET.THIS IS SHEER DICTATORSHIP.

we all know the Fact. These leaders are Murderers. Lets face the truth. I understand the sentiment of the arm people about the Democracy. We all want to leave in Peace and Harmony. Lets ask ourself some questions. Have we let ourself down? Who is behind powering these thugs and are we not in the name of Democracy loosing the battle of integrety to Sameless country Like india and china. What can we learn from these country where Billions go to bed with no food and die with no mediacl assistance.Millions die in custudy without proper judicery. At least we have some system in place to feel us about our home land. I am worried one day we do not have our country to called Home. We have never tried to consolidate ourself and fight against the xpansation of our two Neighbours. At least during our hay kindom era neither our neighbours would dare to interfare in internal affairs. We all know the game of maoist'kill or to be killed. problem is noone is there to kill these murderers. what vision would the leader like Dahal and his thugs have who parley with india to get into power. what a same. An ambassdor can dictate who the next Gov be/. Lets not talk about others. every Political Party in Nepal has to sare the blame of Murdering thousands of innocent people in the name of revolution. revolution with whom?.... democratecally elected Gov of the past. To me Since the overthrown of the kingdom I do not regard the Pappet gov as a legetimate Gov.

I don't agree completely to Manoj's comment, coze power system may have been better during panchayat than present but the bureaucrats, Police and Army corrupted this system resulting in suffering by people. They grabbed and sold all property of country. Now this country has nothing to provide for the people. Nanu has commented saying "to kill only certain leaders and by Indian Army"!!!!!!! To be frank, all Political leaders MUST NOT be allowed to participate more than ONCE and if lost then NEVER. Alas......The past and present Political leaders can do NOTHING for the country, Allash

There is no lesson to learn here. Just Monkey see monkey do. Its time Nepal Revive Some form of Monarcy and 1990 constitution to put the system in place. I see terrorism on every party leader including GP Koirala. They do damm about the country. One motto they run with. Kill Innocent Nepali and hang in Power of some sort. Where is the vision for the country. Its becoming like a play field. One comes in show its act and the next. If nepal has to become real Nepal then adopt what King Mahendra did during Panchyat system. At least Lay men like us had no fear of own Nepali brothers. peace at what cost? Democracy and Peace has no Meaning in Nepal. We had real peace during panchyat rule. Corruption was there, so what? At least peace/freedom of Movement and Prosperaty came with it. Keep visiting India and China You same less Politician. You have sold every nepali and its face to the dark turnel where there is no come back. i don.t favour absolute Monarcy, but nor the dictation of one or the other Party. Monarcy shoud be the face of Nepal and the Democratic Party shold rule keeping Judicary, Royal Nepal Army and Civilservents out of Politics. Hope some one with the Brain listen to what the country men have to say. Long live the Kingdom of nepal and its People and hell to the Politician. Manoj

Five questions

alt No design to corner Maoists
Pashupati Shumser Rana , Chairman, Rastriya Prajatantra Party
Political polarization is not there as yet. To remind you, the Maoists have come only after a people’s war but not the rest of the political parties. It could be this factor which may have brought or to come to surface certain differences with the Maoists over some political issues. More..
