Stage set for final showdown in Nepal: Prachanda

The Unified Maoists’ party chairman Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda has said that the stage is set for the Maoists’ led uprising to come to an end.
“We are marching along cautiously to bring an end to the Peoples’ Revolution, the stage is set for the final showdown”, said Prachanda addressing a program held in Chobhar, Kathmandu, September 12, 2009.
“People are less hopeful that the Constitution will be drafted on time, it is the wish of the people that forced us to take to the streets”, he added.
He also said that unless the leadership that is plagued with old mindset is detached of present scheme of things, the constitution drafting process will never come to an end.
