Nepal Maoists attach new tag, demand PM’s resignation: Poudel

TGW

The Nepali Congress and the Unified Maoists Party leaders held a meeting at Hotel Summit in Lalitpur, Kathmandu, October 25, 2009.

The meeting was organized in the evening.

Earlier during the day, the Nepali Congress and the United Marxist Leninists leaders sat to discuss the Maoists’ demands at the NC’s Parliamentary delegation office in Singh Durbar, Kathmandu.

The United Marxist Leninists’ leaders and the Maoists’ leaders held a meeting early hours on Monday at the personal residence of Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai in Kathmandu.

In their meetings with the UML and the NC leaders separately, the Maoists’ team while reiterated their earlier demands concerning restoration of Civilian Supremacy but also attached a new tag and demanded the outright resignation from the prime minister.

The Nepali Congress leader of the Constituent Assembly Delegation, Mr. Ram Chandra Poudel confirmed to the media that the Maoists have begun demanding resignation of the Prime Minister.

He however, ruled out any possibility or whatsoever the Prime Minister to resigning from his current post at this critical juncture.

“The Maoist’s are continuing with their earlier demands thus there is no consensus as yet”, Mr. Poudel informed the media.
Politics is taking a nose dive, it appears.

Yes, To open the political deadlock Makuney must resign from the post of PM. Makuney is without a face PM in the neplease history. Because of useless Makuney it is shame on for all nepalese people who are living abord far away from home. Looser is looser. Makuney has no moral right and a charcter to be a PM.

Five questions

alt No design to corner Maoists
Pashupati Shumser Rana , Chairman, Rastriya Prajatantra Party
Political polarization is not there as yet. To remind you, the Maoists have come only after a people’s war but not the rest of the political parties. It could be this factor which may have brought or to come to surface certain differences with the Maoists over some political issues. More..
