Nepal PM scolds FM Sujata Koirala, sees bungling in buying tickets
Sometimes such jocular events happen that, we presume, entertain the otherwise frustrated Nepali population.
One such event has come to the notice of this website, through the kind courtesy of a senior Nepali journalist, which, at least if it fails to entertain, may provide some inkling as to how the high level ministers or for that matter Nepali bureaucrats pocket “commission” money from the Travel agencies while purchasing International Air tickets.
A furious Nepal Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, this time scolded Foreign Minister Sujata and the latter remained dumbfounded.
Nepal PM: “Tell me Sujata Jee! I traveled to the United States of America recently and paid only 1800 US $, but why the ministry under your command has been paying for the same ticket and destination 3000 US$”?
Sujata had no words to refute and thus she had to listen more from the PM.
Nepal PM: Either you have to find and punish the culprit or at best change the entire Ticketing system.
We have been told, the source remains the same, that Nepal PM is leaving for Rome, Italy, with a small team of six members only.
The interesting part of the whole story is that this time around, Madame Gayatri Devi Nepal has been dropped. Mrs. Nepal is the consort of Nepal PM.
By the way, Nepal PM is leaving for Rome only after securing the post of Consulate General, Hong Kong, for his “brother” Binod Kumar Upadhyaya, who is not a relative of the chief editor of this website.
Who will take to task the Nepal PM then? How could he explain his own brother being awarded the post of Consulate General? Juicy news any way.

If this news is true, I have no respect for Sujata. I am not surprised because she has done the same time and time again. She is a liability, not a credit to this lame government. She is in this post just because of his father and because Nepali Koirala Party leaders have no gut to talk to Girija Koirala about his authoritarian act within and outside the party. Sujata, you are culprit of the country and curse of Nepali people.

I think this is not a big issue. The rates are different even in adjacent seats if you buy in different times. This doesnot mean that I like Sujata.
