S’pore meet risky, Koirala assures Prachanda of Nepal Govt Change

TGW

The Nepali Congress frail President Girija Prasad Koirala who is receiving medical treatments in Singapore and the Unified Maoists’ Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal who visited Singapore under mysterious circumstances, met in the alien land and agreed that a “middle path” would be adopted to end the current Nepal political skirmish, November 17, 2009.

Nepal’s two conspiratorial political brains had met at a Hospital in Singapore.

“Prachanda told Girija babu that his party would exhibit utmost flexibility to unlock the parliamentary deadlock and will allow the government to pass the fiscal budget”, says Sujata Koirala, adding similarly “Girija babu also assured Prachanda Ji that the Nepali Congress would find a way out to correct the moves of the President.”

Sujata, the foreign minister of the country had accompanied her father Koirala to Singapore.

Sujata talked to the media from Singapore.

“I talked to Girija babu and we agreed that a middle way would be found to resolve the political deadlock before November 20, 2009”, said a beaming Prachanda talking to the media.

The Unified Maoists’ Party has threatened the ruling coalition to fulfill their demands concerning restoration of Civilian Supremacy by November 20, 2009 or face the intensified protests.

Their meeting lasted for half an hour and they also agreed that the impending problems would be solved by constituting a High Level Government Steering Mechanism, Sujata continued.

“Prachanda ji also agreed that the Mechanism would be led by Girija babu”, Sujata adds.

Koirala and Prachanda had been committing to develop the high level mechanism since the formation of the current coalition government under the command of UML senior leader Mr. Madhav Kumar Nepal.

The Unified Maoists’ Party chairman Prachanda is scheduled to return home today, November 18, 2009. Likewise, Girija Prasad Koirala, according to his family sources, will be in Kathmandu Sunday, 22 November 2009.

Media reports on the other hand claim that Prachanda during the meeting directly asked Girija Prasad Koirala to make his subtle moves to derail the current government sooner than later.

“I will do that (Government Change) if you allow the government to pass the budget”, Koirala told Prachanda.
Sleepless nights await Nepal PM thus.
