Nepal Maoists’ attack USAID office in Birendranagar
Kathmandu remained comparatively peaceful on the second day of Maoists’ Three Days Bund in series. Reports have it that violence reigned supreme elsewhere in the districts.
The Maoists’ cadres did not even spare donor offices, private houses and educational institutions on the second day of the three day general strike outside the valley.
The Maoists cadres in the district of Surkhet vandalized the USAID office located in Kalunchowk of Birendranagar.
Telephone Sets, Computers, Tables and other office amenities were destroyed by the Maoists cadres. Similarly, another group carried out similar attack in the office of Women Development Center in New Road of Surkhet.
In Phidim of Panchthar district, the Maoists’ cadres carried out attacks in government offices.
In Biratnagar of Morang district, the Maoists’ cadres vandalized Hotels, government offices and they set ablaze four motorbikes.
More than half a dozen government bureau in the district of Doti have been vandalized.
In Parwanipur of Parsa district, the Maoists vandalized the Himal Iron Factory.
The Maoists’ cadres attacked Shivashakti Packaging industry in Simra.
In Udaypur, Maoists’ cadres forced some private and public banks to close down.
Similar incidents s have been recorded in Dang, Nawalparasi, Dhading, Sunsari, Kavre, Makwanpur, Dhankuta and Chitwan.
