UML hegemony in Nepal Govt increasing, NC should lead now: Singh

TGW

The Nepali Congress Vice President Mr. Prakash man Singh told journalists in Biratnagar, Saturday, February 6, 2010, that his party cadres from center to villages were all disappointed with the performance of the current coalition government under the command of United Marxist Leninists Party.

“Our party cadres are disappointed since the UML is all pervasive in the government structure”, Singh told journalists.

“Our youth leaders have been demanding formation of Nepali Congress led government in the Constituent Assembly delegation meetings”, he added.

“Still the Nepali Congress has not kept the issue of change in government in top priority”, clarified Singh the NC’s stance for the moment.

Earlier Deputy Prime Minister and NC leader Sujata Koirala had also alleged that the coalition cabinet is turning into the Central Committee of United Marxist Leninists’ Party.

Unfortunately Sujata had to face criticism from her own party leaders.

“Our youth leaders have begun alleging that the government has failed in all fronts, all appointments are made in favor of the UML and our own ministers have failed to justify their appointments”, Singh continued.

“But, our priority is to draft constitution on time, bring logical end to peace process and carryout the integration process” he said concluding, “We are in favor of continuation of current government.”
