Jha is Honorable Nepal VP again, takes oath in Maithili, Nepali language

TGW

Parmananda Jha, whose post of the vice-president was in a suspended state after Nepal’s apex court decision to nullify his Hindi oath has been re-sworn in his mother tongue Maithili and Nepal’s national language-Nepali.

Better late than never.

Earlier July 24, 2009, the Supreme Court of Nepal had annulled the Hindi Oath of Vice President Parmanada Jha and had issued a stern warning to Jha that if he wanted to continue in the current post he must re-swear-in Nepali language.

The government of Nepal on September 04, 2009, had stripped off all the State amenities provided to him after the SC decision.

Jha came to the foot path well within a minute after the SC’s ruling made then.

It was also reported then that Jha had begun practicing Meditation to do away with the mental distress that was caused mainly due to the SC ruling.

Jha, a former Supreme Court judge was re-sworn in by President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav at a colorful ceremony held at the Presidential Secretariat on Sunday, February 8, 2010.

Jha was surprisingly seen in the Daura-Suruwal-Nepal’s national attire while he took the oath and secretary of the office.

Jha’s change in stance deserves deep appreciation.

The oath in Maithali was made possible after the government amended the Interim Constitution on January 28, 2010 to allow the president and vice-president to take oath in their mother tongues.

Honorable Jha thus is advised to become the Vice President of the entire population but not of a single party or of a community.

If done so he will then be adored by the entire Nepalese nationals across the country.
We at the telegraphnepal.com welcome him as Nepal Vice President.

Mr. Parmananda Jha, where is your moral ? What is the meaning of taking oath in Nepali and Maithali ? You are nothing but power hungry. What happened to your stand about hindi ? You had said you are hindi speaking person and majority speak hindi . Now why Maithali ? You are a fake person. if you have morale, you should have resigned right after taking oath. may be you remembered the perks of the VP and wanted to cling into power. Shame on you....

Nonsense. How could we be so stupid? This guy disrespected sentiments of Nepalis over and over again. He was so adamant. How dare he speak in hindi in the first place? How could he suddenly be a Nepali? His design is still there in his heart and mind. True NEpalis will never accept him as VP. He gave us the ultimate insult. He insulted us even living among us. He should not be forgiven this easily. He sounds so fake. I am sure he will continue to work for indian interests. We Nepalis are so stupid. We fight among ourselves, and to spite each other or to gain advantage, we even sell our motherland. There is no nationality left in us anymore. What a shame!
