One of the political brains of the now purposely dissolved Maoists led People’s War, Mr. Chandra Prakash Gajurel, popularly known as CP, has finally made a sarcastic comment against his former party boss, Prachanda alias Pushpa Kamal Dahal wherein he bluntly accuses his “arrest in India while the people’s war was in its momentum to have been the handy work carefully designed by
Comrade Prachanda and his deputy, Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai.
Prachanda has merged his party into the UML paraphernalia.
Dr. Bhattarai, the former second man in the Delhi based Nepal Maoists party, alone is the party, its chairman and the follower also of his Naya Shakti party if that could be taken as a political entity.
Mr. Gajurel, to recall, had been arrested by the Indian security forces in Chennai while, according to reports made available, he was about to board a London flight from Chennai.
All in one is Dr. Bhattarai who has freshly returned from a Europe Tour along with Madame Bhattarai.
Similarly, Mr. Mohan Baidya Kiran Pokhrel too was nabbed by the Indian Police personnel in Siliguri, West Bengal while Mr. Pokhrel was on his way to local eye hospital for regular checkup.
The news of the arrests of these two Nepali Maoists stalwarts is not a new one, however, it assumes importance in that Mr. Gajurel has found it comfortable now in releasing the details of his arrests why and how?
According to Gajurel, the arrest was made under the special request made by Comrade Prachanda and Dr. BR Bhattarai to the Indian government and thus the Indian police came into action and the arrests made.
Prachanda and Baburam were considered to be serving India’s RAW machinery. Whether they still collude with RAW to destroy Nepal is not known.
Gajurel made these observations while talking to a TV journalist Mr. Babu Ram Bhusal of the TV Today recently. (Source Online Dabali).
Mr. Gajurel is currently the leader of the Maoists Party-Revolutionary.
He claims that the arrests were made in India in order to bring an unnatural death to the People’s War in connivance of the Indian regime.
“In many ways than one, Prachanda was both hero and the Villain of the now aborted People’s War”, laments veteran Communist leader Gajurel.
It has to be noted that the so called People’s War was waged against Nepal by being inside the Indian Territory enjoying special mare and attention of the Indian establishment.
In fact, Comrade Prachanda and Dr. Bhattarai were enjoying lavish Delhi hospitality for having pounced upon their own motherland for almost a decade or so.
This is mysterious indeed as to what factors could have encouraged these two widely acclaimed nationalists, Prachanda and Dr. Bhattarai, to pounce upon their own soil of birth?
He says that his friends had hinted to him that Prachanda was likely to ditch them, however, we did not take the friends warnings at its face value.
“Things have come to true and the population has understood the Prachanda trickery”, concludes Mr. Gajurel.
The merger of the Maoists party into the UML Ocean speaks of it all.
