Rara lake debate, Nepal PM unlikely to raise Lipulek issue in China

Some may take it as a political gimmick of the highest order. Others may prefer to think that Nepal PM Oli perhaps has gone senile upon his India return. For some may accept it as a genuine mode of “decentralized” State conduct which should have been adopted several decades ago in order to provide equal opportunities to those areas and the people living there since several decades but yet summarily ignored by the central Kathmandu, the seat of government, taken as Nepal by the people for multiple geographic, political and societal reasons even as of today.
The fact is that there are several zones and districts in Nepal even as of now, and the population living therein, which though come under Nepali territory but yet for some mysterious reasons associated with politics perhaps remain ignored which is why it is these people living in these remote areas conclude that fruits of democratic developments have yet to approach them though several systems of governance changed over these years.
Perhaps it is this very reason that have distanced the people living in these areas with their own government in Kathmandu.

The distance is yet increasing in some ways or the other.
So if KPS Oli landed in RARA lake and addressed the nation with his cabinet team then nothing to panic as the PM in doing so has committed not a blunder but instead corrected a slip-up that was being committed by his predecessors, even by the Kings, for long in the past .

Yes! It would be a crime on the part of KPS Oli if he doesn’t repeat such actions by shifting the venue of his address to the nation to similar other places, I mean to lesser developed areas, which possess potentials for instant development should the government wish to support the areas concerned. Such practices should be continued in the future so that the people living in backward areas too could feel that the central government has been paying due attention to their vicinity.
Oli by visiting the RARA lake in the far west Nepal instantly has elevated the ranks of the area and made a must visit place. It could be guessed in advance that the domestic population shall make it a point to have a view at least of this newly discovered tourist destination.
The expansion of domestic tourism shall help RARA lake area to develop in other areas also which shall have then a multiplier effect in the nearby region as well. .
Thus PM Oli did what his predecessors summarily failed. So no question of Oli being equated with late King Mahendra. Teasing will do no good to anyone. Oli as the PM of Nepal did which had to be done and now it remains to be seen as to how Oli’s successors carry forward his steps aimed towards national development sector or province wise.
A set of perverted brains are always there in the society whose sole aim is to criticize others. And here is PM Oli now being targeted. If Oli is replaced some time later then yet another different set shall come up to criticize the next PM. So this cycle shall continue.
Senile brains shall dominate a section of the society ever.
Albeit PM Oli would do well if he dares to convene such a similar meeting of his cabinet team with Nepali flag in Lipulek and in Kalapani then that would give him unprecedented popularity both within and without for multiple reasons to which the PM Oli understands better. However, the thing is that whether he will collect the courage to do so or not? Perhaps not.
Now let’s come to the point.
India and China for all the reasons known and unknown appear to be in a mood to mend their differences.

Interestingly, Indian security adviser Ajit Doval already visited Beijing. The Indian FM Sushma Swaraj is already in China and now PM Modi is all set to land in Wuhan, China shortly. China finally brings India into its OBOR, One Belt One Road scheme, hopefully.
Without Indian help, the OBOR has no meaning, analysts have been told.
Modi going to China and meeting President Xi Jinping or vice versa is not a news for we the Nepalese, however, what ails and pains Nepal and its population is that as and when these two, read Modi and Jinping, meet with each other, they both issue a joint communique wherein both insult Nepal as had been the issue of LIPULEK land mass, a Nepali territory in effect that both China and India mentioned that their trade shall commence through the route of Lipulek, the Nepali landmass.
Both China and India did so without consulting Nepal, the owner of the said land. China’s intents too are not that pure and clear.
Nepali observers remain askance as to why China, a country that claims to be one of the most reliable friend and partner of Nepal did ignore the Nepali sovereignty while mentioning its trade route with India via Lipulek-a Nepali territory.
Reliable sources also claim that China has gulped several square kilometers of Nepali land mass near to DolalGhat that borders Tibet autonomous region of China.
India has a regular habit of gulping Nepali soil, however, if the same disgusting practice is copied by China then it hurts the Nepali population.
The question thus is: Whom Nepal should trust?

China or India? Or no trust at all to both.
Lipulek and DolalGhat incidents both pains Nepal.
Nepal had expected that China would help Nepal much the same was as it has been supporting Pakistan with Mega projects under the CPEC scheme.
But will Nepal PM Oli raise the Lipulek issue while being in China? Perhaps not.
And look how China ignored Nepal this time around.
Nepal Foreign Minister Pradip Gwali was in Beijing. Almost about the same time, the Pakistani Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif too recently visited China.
Ahead of a meeting between President Xi Jinping and Indian PM Modi, the Chinese State Counselor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi reassured his Pakistani counterpart Khawaja Asif that relations between Beijing and Islamabad were as firm as ever and will “never rust”, so writes Li Jian. Source Twitter.
Interestingly, the Chinese foreign minister made no such assurances to the visiting Nepal FM Mr. Gyawali. This is disturbing news indeed.

A horrifying story from India for the road:
An eight strong presumably Hindu gang – including four cops and a child – were arrested over the brutal torture and murder of the Muslim little girl in Kathua in Kashmir, India recently.
Asifa, the innocent one, was strangled and stoned twice in the head “to make sure” she was dead, the court heard.
But before the murder was carried out a policeman allegedly made a demand to rape her one last time, Al Jazeera reported.
Height of barbarism.
The youngster was then gang raped yet again, according to reports.
It has also emerged the murdered schoolgirl’s father has pleaded for the trial to be moved to another state because his family is facing death threats.
Observers in Nepal claim that something has gone absolutely wrong with India in the recent years more so after the BJP came to power.
