As the final day of this series of the training on safer Aviation , we would like to present you the importance of power supply for airport facilities.

Stability of power supply is indispensable for airport operations.

“Especially in Nepal’s mountainous areas, a solar power supply system with combination of photovoltaic panels and batteries is effective for a stable power supply”.
Advanced solar power generation systems made with Japanese technology were installed at five airports: Lukla, Jomson, Jumla, Rara, and Simikot in 2019.

These are hybrid photovoltaic power supply systems that combine high-capacity photovoltaic panels with long-life lithium-ion batteries based on advanced Japanese technology, enabling effective use of mini-hydroelectric power generation.
